Hello out there,
I am looking to buy a b250 or an IR b275, but want to get the real story on what it is capable of. I am interested in knowing if the backhoe on one of these is capable of digging a foundation for an attached garage I want to build. The hole would go down about 9'. I would hate to buy this machine and still have to hire a guy at $150/hr to dig it for me. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi

I have the B200. The B250 has 4 wheel steer and is a bit more powerful. Even my unit will dig down 10 ft. Will lift 1 ton in the loader. These units are far more powerful at digging than compact tractors. At the same time, they are nowhere near as good at digging as a true excavator. But as a general purpose machine they are great.

So that sounds like a yes on digging a foundation...How does it do with tree stumps?
