Thanks for the responses. Which bobcat dealer has new 2012's on the lot? May be worth a call.

I received a quote for 17000 for a new 2410 with backhoe. The 230 just seems like a lot more tractor for less money.

Sounds like I'm doing alright.
Why is everyone trying to talk me out out a 3pt backhoe? It will only be used a few times a year.

3PT backhoe puts more stress on the tractor. If you are using it just to dig trenches occasionally etc it is fine but if you use the BH routinely to dig out stumps or big rocks where the BH is moving the tractor around while digging, that is not a good thing. 3PT backhoes are pretty unusual these days.

Oh geez. I actually requested the 3pt backhoe because I thought it would be easier to get on and off.
Maybe 4 times a year at best I'll use it 2 times will be for snow work.
