bobcat ct230
I had a Bobcat CT230 for a few years and was needing more lift capacity out of the loader. Purchased a CT445 a few weeks ago and it doesn稚 seem to lift anymore that the 230 I had.

Did a PO outfit your Bobcat with the 7TL like your CT230 vs 9TL that should be on the CT445? (my first Ford/NH came with a newer FEL than was OEM for the model year)

One thing a guy might find when buying a tractor is that the 3PH feed back lever is out of adjustment. If you set the lever all the way up, your hydro may go into relief and you might not get full performance. Easy to cross off that possibility by setting 3PH lever about midway when testing loader lift. You'd hear a groan if going into relief at whatever point higher up indicates that.

Another source of leakage or restriction is QA couplers going to the FEL. Release pressure by wobbling the stick as usual. Disconnect and re-connect, then try the FEL again.

Also, consider that there may be a supply restriction to the hydro pump, clogged or water-logged filter, etc that impedes full output flow/pressure at high demand. Filter ok? Low fluid level and sucking air aren't always obvious by sound, sometimes just by power loss. :2cents:

Have you solved this?

No not yet. I can稚 seem to find out why I can稚 lift more. I am to the point of taking it to the dealer and see what they can find

The quickest way to find out would be to get a Pressure gauge and an adapter to fit the Quick Disconnect. Then you can check pressure at the connection and see what is going on. If you can use a dealer, well that should find it. I've never had an issue with mine and use it nearly every day. Gauge first, more later.
