I just hauled an S185 Bobcat for a buddy who's trailer broke. I was very suprised; that thing was HEAVY compared to my B8200HST! Looking closer, the Bobcat had a lot of steel on it.
They have to be heavy because of short wheelbase
and high lift caps.
My Deere is 7,000# w/o any attachments.
Thru on some attachments on the trailer and u can
get to 15,000 GTW very fast.
I looked up the Bobcat last night, after my original post. You and Gomez were both very right! Bobcat spec's the S185 at 5800lbs! My B8200, while similar in overall length and width, is only about 2000lbs, with loader and scraper attached.
I will be storing it for a week or two. It'll be my first time driving one. Will I ever look back at a CUT the same?
I was amazed when I looked at the Bobcat websit; I would guess Deere and NH are the same... This critter has tons more attachments than I have seen for CUT's. You can even get a concrete pump for it! I had always thought these CUT's were versatile, but the skid steer has them beat! The Cut is still great, but my eyes have been opened in regards to the skidsteer!
