I start, I've had a 317 deere skid steer for several years and this year is is giving me plenty of grief, losing the hydraulic pump, injection pumps, and control linkage all at 1700 hrs. Power wise its unstoppable when everything is up to par, but I very much dislike the design behind the 4024T engine and want to get away from it. Upon starting up my new company I found a CTL would and does perform a lot better than my tired unit does, so I'm thinking about selling my 317 once everything is fixed and getting into a different machine. That brings us to this. I've read plenty of reviews on the T180/T190's stating they are underpowered and ride like a tank (don't all CTLs). The CT322 and 323D both have that 4024T engine I want to get away from but have tons of power and better lift capacity than the Bobcats do. My main objective is to have around the same 2000 lb lift capacity as I have with my 317 with counter weights. I primarily use it for grading with my landplane or shuttling dirt/gravel. I want to get a hand & foot controlled machine (my personal preference) so thats why im not really interested in the other brands since they almost all have pilot controls. Whatever I buy needs to be in the 20-30k price range which is why I've chosen these models. Looking for opinions from owners & operators, T180/T190 or CT322/323D?
