Bobcat T190 Specs

I'm new to this forum so howdy everyone. I am looking at purchasing a 2007 T190 with 300 hrs. I would like to know what the specs are for the engine as I get various results when I do a search. I know it is a Kubota engine but what model and hp in model year. Also any thoughts on this machine, good/bad ???

Should be a 61hp net V2403M-DI-T. Being a 2007 (K) it should have 4 small idler rollers on the tracks instead of 3 also.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if that engine has egr on it or is it before Kubota started putting that on?

Mine is a 2007 and has open crankcase ventilation so I would say no, I never had to work on the engine except to change fluids. I am not where it is so cannot go look right now.

The T190 had 3 different engines (all Kubota) used through history of its production. Started with a V2003 @ 56 HP, then V2403 @ 61 HP, and last was V2607 @ 61 HP. Only way to tell difference in V2003 & V2403 is look at data tag on valve cover. The V2607 has the injection pump turned around and running off the flywheel end. V2607 is only iT4 and only 1 with EGR.

Unless they've made improvements you can do better than a t190. My cousin bought a new one in 01. Very poor hydraulic power and weak drive motors,no pushing power.id look at the Takeuchi machines and drive both,no comparison ...I have a caterpillar 246 and at less than half throttle it has more pushing power and hydraulic lifting power than a t190 does wide open...

Interesting, do you have any experience with a newer t190. I am new to the ss world so I am relying on others experience and advice.

Not sure of the actual year changes, getting too old to remember too much. 2001 as mentioned above would have been the 56HP. Change to V2607 would have been in 2008-09 that was when iT4 was required. I believe change to V2403 took place sometime around 2005-06. That engine change came at same time Bobcat came with the S205 wheel loader, just don't remember the exact year.

Ssdoxie, I think you know more about Bobcat than all of us combined. And that is after you have forgotten some. Thank you for monitoring this site.


I have not used a cat or Takeuchi, but I love my t190 and wish I could buy a new one with AC. The engine access for service and the popularity, parts availability of bobcat are a consideration. RSC rented the t190 for years, which says something about durability. It has a lot of steel where today's new model has plastic.

If you decide not to buy I'd like to see it. 300 hrs is pretty new compared to my 2300 hrs.
