I use the s750 and I'm pretty happy running a single speed FAE/Cat mulcher.

the t770 and t870 will give you a little more engine power to support the pump but hydraulics are virtually the same.

I was pretty set on the t870 but im not sure if the extra size and weight will be worth it.. The t770 will be the ideal machine for me if it will run the mulcher as good as the t870

I don't think you will see a big difference in the 870 vs 770. The motor is the same, both turbo, both have similar torque, and hydraulics are within .5 gpm.. That motor at 99hp vs 92 hp is going to be moving almost 2000 lbs before you add the A/C glass and lexan cab, mulching kit, and mulcher which is about 1500 lbs heavier than a standard bucket. You will probably be looking at, and I'm guessing, 14.5k lbs with a T870 loaded for mulching.. that's a lot of weight to move.

Bobcat's hydraulics aren't not that high to begin with in the auxiliary circuit. I'm hoping they update or come up with a kit to get more pressure or more GPM out of these machines. The motors can certainly support it in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong. If I could haul that kind of weight, I'd probably be interested in a T870 but then again, it's a little wide for mulching when the big mulcher is only 60" cutting width. Go wider and you are putting more of your precious hydraulic power into more teeth/cutting surface. The less the better for a compact unit.

Let us know what you decide.. i'm interested.

Hauling the t870 is no problem for me.. Im just really concerned with how much the tracks will stick out past the mulcher more than anything else.. There will be alot of material for the outside of the tracks to run over that the mulcher doesnt cut

i own a 870 very nice lots of power. i have demoed the 320,770 and 870 the 870 is the best it is a little wide sometimes but its ok with me. im running a 60inch head.

the 320 is crap to me too small and the 770 nice but where i live very hilly and the 870 feels safer on hills
