I am a firm believer that there are a few idiots out there who only know enough about equipment by their colors, and that is ALL they know!
I have a 2007 Bobcat CT445 (45 HP) with a full cab. I have 700 or so hours on it, and have done all my own maintenance. I am not a farmer, but had 80 acres and a dozen horses. I bought Bobcat after looking at green ones, both blue ones, both red ones, both orange ones and every other color I could find in Southern Wyoming/Northern Colorado. I had a couple requirements 1) Full cab with heat and air (high 90's to -teens and allergies!). 2) FEL with common quick release to be able to easily change implements. 3) Ability to lift and move 2000 lbs hay bales 4) Enough power to pull stumps and groom arena. I had used construction equipment in my younger days, but never a Ag tractor...
My decision came down to the tractor that met all my requirements, was a brand name I knew, and an affordable price. Did I get everything I might have wished for? Did I find a few things that I wish I had added? Sure, additional hydro valves on front and rear would be great, but I was a first-time buyer.
In hind sight, I am VERY happy with my Bobcat, and highly recommend them. I would buy it again. I've never had a single quality complaint. When I get a new tractor, I will look at every factor, and I will absolutely look at Bobcat again.
Yes they do. They stock parts and give good service. The only negative is that some of the newer techs are not very familiar.
