Your Mulcher with carbide teeth are your best bet. The Bobcat mulcher is made by fecon with bobcat drum specs. It is not a true fecon mulcher. The teeth are very expensive on the bobcat and you have to get them from a bobcat dealer. The bobcat heads have a lot of issues with drums cracking. The fecon with their drum design will out perform the bobcat and the fae heads. It will cut grass, scotch broom, brush and small trees very well. It is US built!! The Cat head is an fae head, built in Italy. The Fae and the Bobcat round drum mulchers will not cut with a Fecon. What ever carriers you decide on, buy from a reliable dealer that willback up what he sells you. If I was buying a rubber track skid steer I would look at the Takeuchi TL150 or new mode TL25o. They are built like a tank and very reliable. Asplundh Tree Service in Western Washington runs a fleet of Takeuchi Loaders with Fecon Heads.

Can you support the statement of why the FAE or Bobcat mulcher won't cut with the Fecon given everything else is the same?

I know nothing about these other heads. I have 60 Inch Tushogg that has carbide teeth. It runs off the high flow hydraulics on my ASV RC100 and works great. There is not much you can damage with this hed if you are semi careful.

I had a tushhogg for about 4 years. It was tough. hated changing teeth. I had an early model when it was still made by river city and called the "land tamer". It could mulch anything. Any size, dirty, rocky, etc., but I did lose teeth and the nipples off the carbide came off a lot. When I switched to the CAT/FAE head, my tooth replacement went down to nothing.
I miss the tushogg for milling stumps and grinding rocks. i don't miss replacing the teeth! :) I hated the rolled pins. Not sure how the teeth are held in now but if they improved it, I'd like to have another one for rock milling.
