Buying Advice Bobtach forks

I was going to build a set of these, I have forks I got that were scraps, (heels were worn down past osha limits)
But by the time I buy the steel to fabricate everything for them, I could scrap the old forks out and use my $250 coupon. The difference in price would not be that great I dont think.

My question:
Has anyone fabricated a bobtach mount?
Are they pretty close tolerance?
has anyone purchased a bobtach fork set? I got a quote today for $700. With the coupon it takes it down to $450

Any info on the bobtach forks would be appreciated

I don't know who gave you that quote, bob Bobcat forks are only $426 MSRP

You can buy the bobtach plate for around $99 from a few different places. I also found them on Ebay. If you go to either the customization or build it yourself forum and do a search, you will find several discussions on them.

If you don't come up with anything, let me know I think I still have the vendor selling them on Ebay. I will just have to dig it up.

I'm not sure where you can get this for that price but when I was looking the lowest price I got was $474 with free shipping and it is 36" not the 48". And 42" is $45 more. The 36" works for me since it is already rated for 2300lbs. and I am not going to lift that much with my CT235. I think...

That was taken directly from the Bobcat website. It is pictured with the frame and forks so I am assuming it is a complete set up, no?

No. Frame and Fork is price separate. At least that was one of the dealer told me when I asked about it. For 48", $750 plus tax and shipping was the best he can do and that was in NJ.

If you have a used forklift place near you, you can probably get a set of 36 or 48 in forks and carriage for about $150. Just weld the Bobtach plate to the back of the carriage.
