Anyone have a Bodozer bolt-on bucket claw? It is similar to the ATI bolt-on and uses similar tube from which the claw attaches. (I considered the ATI...I think it's a good attachment)
There are a few features of the Bodozer I like: 1) It's pinned on and can easily be removed from the tube for regular loader use without having to unbolt the entire set-up. 2) It's 47" inches wide and fits nicely to a 73" bucket (vs 32" for the ATI). 3) It operates like a clamshell against the bucket and is a compromise of a full on grapple.
It would be helpful to hear from anyone who actually has used on of these because they are not cheap!!! This bolt-on claw is comparable to some full grapple buckets I've seen on Ebay and other sites. It's also more than twice as much as the ATI. Prices in this attachment industry vary according to who makes them...family run business vs a corporate outfit. Anyway, I have searched all these threads...read them all about grapples and the ATI...but not this claw. Have read positive threads on Bodozer products, but nothing on their bolt-on claw. Used properly, both the Bodozer and ATI should serve my purpose well for general land care, clearing fallen trees, making burn piles, picking a few choice rocks, etc. I'm not interested in the monsterous 800lb grapples hoisting entire trees like Godzilla...I already have a Farmi 501 logging winch that can pull in, lift-up, and drag away 3 or 4 trees at a time, so something smaller that can improve FEL bucket performance is fine with me.
Thanks for any info or input.
