Bolen G274 filter mismatch

So two of us recently bought G274's. Mine came with a NAPA 21521 oil filter and the other with a NAPA Gold 1334. My local NAPA dealer said they were not the same application. I did a little searching and found my 21521 has American threads ( 3/4 - 16 ) while the 1334 has metric threads which are nearly the same - 20 x 1.5 mm - which translates to .787" (larger than 3/4 or .750) and 16.9 threads per inch instead of 16. The gaskets vary a little in size also. So now to find out which I should use.

Finally got around to doing my oil / filter change. I was surprised when I took the old filter off - the flange is very wide - about 1/2" - so a variety of filters will physically fit this machine. I put the NAPA Gold on but I also have a couple Frams that will fit (from a car I owned a few years back). The outside diameter of the flange measured 2.950" and the inside diameter 1.975".

Did you ever figure out which was the correct filter? To be clear, this is the filter to the left of the two filters on the right side of the machine right?

It is metric threads.
