Bolt on cutting edge and bolt on hooks

Used them for the first time today. Picked up my pallet forks from the freight terminal and what a perfect way to unload them from my truck.

Not trying to nit pick here. Just thought I'd point something out.
After your cutting edge gets a little worn, it will develop a sharp kinda serrated edge. The tractor and load rocking side to side will create a sawing action and cut your ropes in about five seconds.
Using chain instead pretty much solves this problem.

Good move installing the hooks. I can't imagine having a bucket without them.
I've also welded a set of hooks at a 45 deg angle near the top of my fork frame. They come in handy if I need to drag a pallet back so I can get under it. They're also good for securing loads on the forks.

I no longer have these forks, but they have the hooks welded in the same general area as my present set.

My version: I added D-rings to the sides and top of my Land Pride forks so I could more easily tie my deer shooting houses to my tractor forks when moving them and emplacing them.

Me, not being a good welder , bought Ken's bolt on hooks. Been very happy with them.
I bought a Piranha tooth bar, which let's me break through the diabase (iron rock) in my soil which stopped me cold with the straight edge.

I'm a big fan of weld on chain hooks. I even put one on my backhoe bucket.

I'm very fortunate, that my friend/neighbor has a Mig welder and a big shop I can use. He has really saved me from a bunch of work.
