Got a pair of 10,000lb tow hooks off ebay for $6 + $4 shipping. Decided to weld them on.
Looks like a great install, I like those better than just the chain grab hooks, allows the use of nylon or steel cable sling, rope or looped chain. where with the crab hooks you of course are limited to chain.
What I don't like about using 2 of any type hook is the fact that now you have to connect to both of them.
That's why I went with the single center mounted receiver, use it all the time with it's many options.
No matter what I definately recommend strengthening the top bucket edge prior to mounting hooks. Nothing worse than bending your bucket.

If you have a lighter duty or single wall bucket for sure or if your center mounting like I did.
But with these HD JD double wall buckets, with the hooks in line with the mounting point like in Dirt Ditch's picture, I can guarantee you his will never bend, like you said the loader doesn't have the capacity. Plus the outer edge is much stronger than the center also for balance you have to use them in tandem with a yoke type setup.
Like I said mine is center mounted so probably a good idea to reinforce, though I haven't done mine yet. My loader has a capacity of around 1500 pounds and I know I've never had that much hanging on mine, but I have had probably close to 1000 on there with no signs of deflection, never mind bending.
When I bolted the receiver on mine I installed steel pipe spacers/sleeves on the bolts so when I tightened it, it wouldn't squash the walls, that really stiffened it up.
Couple of pics of my center mount, with a load on it looking across the top edge. another of a single wall bucket i got for small money after someone did collapse the top edge with a weld on hook in the center. Couldn't believe someone would do that! pic shows it after I jacked it back up, then I shortened it to make a mini bucket.
