Bolt on skid steer mounting plate

Wish my Kuhn’s Mfg accumulator on my L6060 worked as nice as the Maxilator. Mine doesn’t have guides for each line of bales so if I don’t get them perfect a hook will come down on twine and snap it. Gives me an idea for a home mod this spring.

I need a skid steer mounting plate for an implement that bolts on. Can not use a weld on for need to be able to remove it and reinstall JD mounts if necessary. I would prefer to use "U" bolts around my implement frame with the nut end being able to have the nut end on the mounting plate. Will be used on a Maxilator hay grapple which it and the hay for full load will weigh about 1500 pounds. It does extend near seven feet in length.

This will be used with a New Holland quick attach fel. Right now believe will need to have local shop build it for have not found one made to bolt on. Have been advise the ones made to weld on will not work to drill and bolt on due to clearance issue. To me it looks like there would be room between towards the center of the mount and may need say angle iron welded onto the outside of the plate to also bolt there.

Thanks for your help.

Which quick attach do you have on the tractor? The old wedge style?

Not sure which brand, but I've used one with a New Holland SS. I didn't encounter that problem, but it sure would be aggravating.

This is the strongest SSQA plate that I have seen, you could copy this design:

It has threaded bolt holes on the front:

Or you could buy the single hitch version: Eterra Hitch Attachment for Skid Steer Loader | Skid Steer Solutions

They used to sell the backplate by itself, but didn't see it listed now.

We have used it with several hundred bales and yes it took a little while to get proficiency with it but it really works well. If you have trailer in proper position you can keep up with the baler. See if you can see the dividers on Rafter M out of Texas. They fold up with hyd cylinder so you can run with dividers down for aligning and then lift it clear, lift the dividers out of the way and lower to push bales tight and then lock with hooks for loading.
We are going to that model for our field and use the maxilator for the unloading and loading at the barn.

I wonder why could not use a 1/2 plate, drill and tape it and then run bolts in it. Could grind off any bolt sticking through.

Sounds good to me. May have to use plenty of bolts to clamp the frame to the plate, especially across the top.

I really do appreciate each one's thoughts and suggestion. Did not find what I went looking for but did find I think good workable solution. Proves some times what we want is not obtainable but the solution is. Can not ask for more.

Update: bought mount from Titan and the first one was defective in size but they replaced it quickly and easy on my end. Pleased with the new mount and their service. Would buy from them again.

Used 2 inch by 3/8 inch welding it on the ends of the quick connect mount. Did mount it with "U" bolts the factory used to mount the John Deere quick connect mounts. They are 1/2" in diameter. Have not used the attachment with hay yet but did test it will the attachment and same weight load on furthermost point from the quick connect.

Did not notice any flexing of the mount. If flexing is detected will install bolts through the Titan plate with plate to reinforce that plate and then bolting around the attachment center frame member. Believe we are in great shape as we did match factory specs and load tested when completed.

Thanks to each one's contribution. I did not get pictures but will do so in next few days and post. Sent it to nephew to be testing with hay before taking pictures entered my mind.
