Here's a project that I worked on today. We call it The Dry Lake.

The small scale "bait house" is about 4 feet tall. It contains electrics and other things for a nearby spa and some landscape lighting.

I used the grapple to place some of the large rocks on this project and the FEL or wheelbarrow for the small stuff. The lake (exposed fabric) still needs covering with pebbles and sand. The space behind some of the large rocks will be planted with creeping ground cover.

Excellent job on your Boom Grapple. At what point in your wiring did you get the power from to operate the solenoid valve.

I found an unused AUX connection, which was part of the JD original wiring harness. It was near the right rear fender. I tapped into that and brought the power to a small box that I installed under the seat. Not required but thought the connection spot might come in handy someday.

The solenoid spec is 3 Amps. I fused that but did not need a relay. My switch is rated 10 Amps.

The switch harness was long enough to run down the joystick and reach under the seat.

I installed a 2 wire quick connect at the FEL quick connects. I soldered and used waterproof heat shrink for the permanent connections.

The solenoid has a nice (sold separately) wire connector it's adjustable and sealed.

Outstanding work! Thanks for sharing. I'm with the others in a desire to see more of the projects you've done with it.

Nice to have that grapple farther out in front to keep the tree limbs away from the front of the tractor.
