I have a 24' 150gal boom sprayer. I redid all the hoses and tee nozels now i need a pto pump but which one? There are some fairly inexpensive ones on Agri supply website that i think wpuld work but i aint sure. The prices vary greatly. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran a Hypro roller pump on my Walsh 200 gallon, 30 foot sprayer. In the off season, I ran a little light weight oil into it and spun the pump before storing the pump in the shop for the winter. Used it 30+ years with no problems.

I bought a 140 gallon skid mount pump that had been used on a golf course. Has a Hypro 2 cylinder diaphragm pump, hose real and booms on it. It had been run hard and left wet. I converted to 3 point, and rblt the pump and hose reel, and that's as far as I've got. Sure like to know how you set up you're boom and
tee nozzles, and what you intend to use it for. I'd like to set up the booms and nozzles to spray my vegetables, and set up a vertical boom with a 90 in it to spray my sweet corn up the stalk and across the tassles for corn worms. I'm open to all suggestions.

Right now i just want to get it pumping so i can spray some reclaimed pasture and hunting land. I would also like to use it like you to spray pesticide in my garden and my yard for weeds. It has fan nozzles on it right now and a three section fold up boom. Im just not sure what pump to get for it. Im looking at a Delavan 6 roller CCW rotation 300 psi max 18.4gpm with coupler and torque arm for 140.00. Would this work? Im just not sure of the sprayers requirements.

Should work good, just set the pressure relief to what psi you want and go.

Ok cool thanks everybody. What is the normal pressure range for fan nozzels?

We ran flat fans around 40psi. You can soften it up a little if you are getting drift.

If you EVEN "think" you might want to use Roundup be sure and get the silver series pump that is "roundup ready". The cast iron ones go away fast when used in roundup. I learned this the hard way and ruined a $300 pump. bjr
