I used to feel that way, until my "friend" of over 15 years decided to sue me because he ran into a tree on my property.

His reason for sueing my? Though his insurance covered all his losses, he told me he wanted to buy a new house and needed money for a down payment. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Well it all boils down to liability! Even though you loan it out if something mechanical breaks and someone is injured and you're the owner you are liable. Most of the time I will offer to do the job. I enjoy and would rather run my equipment as to have someone else run it. I do swap implements with a neighbor since I have a tiller, he has a box blade. Even then I am reluctant to borrow stuff, most times it is cheaper in the long run to go buy what you need, just another tax deduction and then you can tell the little woman of all the wonderful things you can do with it!
