Bottom link (adjustable)

I managed to break the bottom link on my Kubota B2400. The weld was not complete all the way through, and with another mishap it did not hold up. Kubota here wants over $100 for one. Should I get the Kubota part, or is there a better and/or cheaper one?

Without a picture I can only guess that you broke the swivel end off the arm bar?? Usually they are welded on. If that's the case and the end is still useable you might take the pieces to a welding shop and see what they'd charge to weld it back on??

Otherwise, I'd say you are stuck with going for the Kubota part.

I bent mine when the turnbuckle stabilizer came off once. Later I purchased sliding stabilizers but still had the bent adusting lift arm so it lost a lot of its adjustment. Yesterday it finally broke ptobably like yours.

I bought a category 0 top link at the Farm and Home store. I cut the two eyes off, cut the ends off the original lift arm, and welded them to the cat 0 top link.

I'll take pics later today. If yours is not bent, it can be welded cheaper than new purchase.

btw, I think I paid $20 for the top link.

Note that the forks are not welded at a 90 degree angle. They have an angle on each end to accomodate the different dimensions outboard from the centerline of the tractor at the top and bottom.

Edit: Here's a couple of pics. The lift arm on the right is the cat 0 top link fabbed up with original forks. You can see the upgraded stabilizer arms I purchased from Mark Hodges at www.Stabilworks.com
