If you have any decomposed anything, it beats the rocks I have at the extreme southern end of the Ozarks. We have every thing from pebble sized to ones like in my Avatar and larger. Some areas will be rock free and 3 feet away will be nothing but rocks. Sure makes it hard to put in fence post with a digger. We have had better luck with steel T post that are easy to move a bit if we hit a rock and then hope for the best at the corners where we have to put in large wooden post with the PHD. The best post holder soil just happens to be the one where it is full of the typically long cylindrical rocks with a little bit of clay. Once the hole is dug and backfilled, the post doesnt move.
