I purchased this boxblade at an auction. It looks to be pretty heavy duty. It's rusty and ugly but should serve my purposes quite well. It did not have a nameplate or anything that would identify the manufacturer. Does anyone have any idea what company might have made this one?

OK, so make us all jealous and tell us what you paid for it. A little rust only means it was used. It looks like a good heavy duty one!

I would say that it was privately made judging from the contours of it. The welds look good, but don't look factory made.
Looks like it's good an tough though.

Got it for $165.00. Beats the cost of a new one.

That's for sure, and it doesn't look at all used up. They used good thick steel in the construction, and looks like they bought good scarifiers too.
I'd say you made a great deal, as used BBs go for almost the same as new ones in that kind of shape!

A friend of mine has one that looks a lot like yours, and I believe it is a "Modern" brand.

My 5' House has exactly the same lines with the exception of the 3 point area. Rippers look like they would enterchange. Looks like the steel is heavier on the sides. King Kutter and others look exactly the same as well. Looking at the welds it does look like it might be a home built, and a nice one at that!!
