Box Blade/Scraper size for JD 2320/2025R

Debating 48" or 54". Leaning toward Everything Attachments or Land Pride. Some previous threads touched on this subject but I thought I would post since 54" blades are becoming more widely produced by manufacturers. My 2320 is 48" wide to the outside of the rear lugs-50" to the outside of tires. If I was just working the driveway 54" would be a no brainer but I plan on trail work in heavy clay soil so not sure the extra 6" is a good idea. The blade will probably be attached most of the time as FEL ballast.

If Box Blade is narrower than rear tire width you can only make one or two pulls in the same aisle. Thereafter your rear tires will be up on a ridge and the Box Blade will not contact or cut the dirt. Go 54".

In 54" width, 450 pounds/100 pounds per foot of width is minimum weight which will cut. Better 550 pounds or more weight for clay.

Go with 54", as when angled it will reach further in effective "width". If it pulls hard, then just apply a bit of lift and take less depth in the bite.

Looks like it will be a 54". Any other brand blades that a person can order without excessive shipping except EA? The only one I can buy in stock locally is Land Pride.

Any reason to shy away from Land Pride?

For woods trails where wanting to make drainage crown and ditches along the side, I'd want the ability to tilt the blade and some depth wheels to set digging/scraping depths.
Roots and possibly rocks will be the problems, what I find.

I have never seen depth wheels on a box blade. Who sells them?

Go to the upper right hand corner window that has "Google custom search" and type in "rear blade gauge wheels" for several hits on TBN threads telling about gauge wheels.
Also, Everything Attachments has depth gauge wheels but under their "plows", not rear scraper blades.

Bought a Land Pride BB1254 54" today from a nearby dealer. Gave me a good buy. Good thing I am not partial to a one color since that orange BB clashes a bit with that green tractor. A little Halloween/Christmas combo going on. When it gets scratched up I'll but some green paint for it.

I bought a LandPride chipper last year, and they painted it green for me.. as it was a factory order.

I would sand blast the orange crap off and powder coat it green.
