Box blade time I think

I hate to burst someones bubble, but that United box blade at 445lbs is far from heavy duty. Maybe at twice that weight you might consider it heavy duty. I just can't see how a 445lb box blade can be considered heavy duty at all. Medium duty at best in my opinion. Here is a Bobcat box blade that I consider heavy duty, and there are others that are 6 foot wide and are several hundred pounds heavier than the Bobcat unit.

I just got the 6' HD from everything attachments and it is a fine peice of equipment. It was 550, if you want even more heavy duty the land pride has slightly thicker side walls and it 750.

I was going to suggest the United from Everything Attachments, too. The 3PH mount is sturdier...less likely to bend the pins. If your use is fairly moderate, then you likely can get away with less than the heaviest unit, and spend the savings on yet more tractor stuff.

Its really irksome to have to bear the price difference between Canada and the US. I want to buy a Wallenstein wood chipper, which is made in Canada, but I can buy the same model from a dealer in Iowa and have it delivered to me here in PEI for a couple of hundred dollars less than the local price. It makes no sense at all to me.

Actually I found out you can order from everythingattachments.com from Canada. There is a link down at the bottom left of their website that details out what is involved. You do need to get a broker and pay any duties (so much for NAFTA, that's politicians for you). It's possible there may not be duty on a BB but I don't know and have not researched yet. I did bring in a Winnebago a few years ago, no problems and did not need a broker so it can be done and I will be investigating as I need a BB too!
