Eric,

Which model do you have, single or double? What price did you pay? Just trying to get a ballpark figure without contacting the company.

Utahmule,

I have drivewasy that are dressed with lime stone and get real hard. The pot holes are bad in the spring and I would like to redress the surfaces. Will the TR3 do the job? If so, what should I expect about it?

I have areas that have been bush hogged as well and would like to prep for seeding, will it do this well and if so- what should I expect? How fine is the vegitation broke up and how smooth can the bed be made in 3 or 4 passes?

Gray.

Thanks Utah!

I have a Kubota 2200, so I don't think I could pull a 6 ft. The company left a message wanting to answer my questions; I might try to call them to see what smaller units are and how much.

I'd like to see one in person to see how well made it looks.

Thanks.
Ron

Bucky,

I think I paid around $2500 about two years ago for the single model, with a rails kit, extra set of ripper teeth, and free shipping.

Gray,

You bet it will do the job on the driveway. You just need to set the teeth to cut down just below the bottom of the potholes. A pass or two to remix the material and a pas or two to smooth and compact it with the teeth up and the toplink out to put pressure on the rake portion.

You'll get the best results, whatever tool you use, if you work the driveway when it's got moisture in it. You want it to be damp, not too wet, not too dry. You'll get a feel for it after a time or two. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

RonR,

They're pretty good to deal with, and they only sell direct, I believe. It's made darn solid. The gauge wheels are foam-filled, all the metal members seem over sized, welds and paint are excellent quality. I've done some questionable stuff with it, and none the worse for wear because of it. Me or it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been happy with the rake. It is fairly idiot-proof, a big reason behind my purchase /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

Sorry for the slow response time. Breed season is going full speed, and we're getting a new business off the ground, so free time is sparse. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I checked into the TR3 just for the heck of it. It looks very interesting and something that folks who want to do a certain amount of area prep for lawn or driveway regrading etc. should take a look at. I have a Harley Pro8 that will rip, grade, clean, and level, but new, it would cost you about $9000 while the TR3 is about $2500. It would certainly be a consideration. I was impressed by the video. Granted your soil may be a lot worse then whats shown, but if you can't even get into it with rippers, your living in an agriculturally challenged area and perhaps should just go native.

Got the TR3 tape today and viewed it. Someone said it was not an impressive presentation of the rake? Re dressing a near lawn was not a good sample if this thing is as good as most say. A rough grown up feild would be a better challange to show if it will do it.
I would love to have seen a pot holed gravel drive re surfaced? I did get the idea of how it was expected to work.
I wonder if it would do any good with a heavy clay soil that clumps together and bends but doesn't break?
