Thanks for the tip Henro. I have a woman involved in my life right now that just doesn't understand the concept of owning a tractor outside of mowing. I'm working on sales tactics right now to get her just to go along with the BX1500. I'm with you on the 'more tractor for the $' scenario.

I agree with Henro. You will regret it if you don't. I saw the Bx1500 the last time I was at my dealer. The only thing that I would do with that is mow grass. It seemed a little small to be pulling a boxblade or any other attachment. If you can afford to go bigger I would.

I paid $249 for my 5 foot blade at a Homier sale. Tractor Supply Company has them for $299, which is still a pretty good price.

I started off doing some grading with a back blade, but ended up buying the box blade, and looking at the job that it does, it's worth the extra price...

My wife originally didn't understand why I would spend the money for "that thing", but now that she sees the finished product, I think she's glad I bought it.
