I currently own a Box Blade on my 4500, I was wondering what are the advantages of a regular rear blade over the Box Blade if any. I need to build a road into a section of my property, and was wondering if there would be any advantage in using a rear blade over using the box blade. any advise would be appreciated.

A blade is great for making ditches or rolling material back and forth . A blade has the ability to angle forward or back which a box blade does not . Cost is really cheap overall . You can build your road just using your existing box blade with no problem . A blade just makes it a little easier is to build a crown or pull ditches .
I like using my box blade as I can carry and move material further if need be than using a angle blade .
