Yep I agree Travis. That's why I can't justify paying your new price when I can buy used, get more equipment and have money left.

Yep, but if the production of new equipment ceased, used equipment wouldn't be cheaper would it?

If 60" is a little too small and 72" is a little too large, let me introduce you to goldilocks:
66" EA Compact Box Blade

That is, unless you can handle the $2k investment MtnView is famous for recommending.

Travis, do you understand the reasoning for recommending a ROBB instead of a box blade such as the ETA unit you have recommended?

As long as the profit margins stays where they are at that's not happening. :)

I guess I should expand a little. If money is available, buy the best you can afford. A ROBB or at a minimum a hydraulic scarifier BB. If money is controlling the purchase, then look for used which will net you the most equipment for the dollar spent.

Not picking on anybody. :)

Totally. I'm just saying that the percentage of customers looking to spend big money for box blades and scrape blades is not very high. The percentage is even lower for those with compact tractors.

I have a L2800 and run a 6 footer. If I use it aggressively, I might be able to stop the tractor but I just raise it a tick and keep moving that load. I got it for $250 (used) and have about 300 pounds sitting on top of it. I also have R4 and would not want to go any smaller.

I understand you get what you pay for, but at some point you have to rationalize it too. Even if you are well off, does it make sense to spend a lot of money on something, just cause you can? Especially when it is a hobby for most of us. For the pros, it eats into their profits.

I think I'm thrifty and spend money on tractor stuff wisely.......

My Wife thinks I have too much tractor stuff........
