Thanks, but I don't plan on it staying that way...

Nice paint job ! What kind of paint did you use on it ?

Looks like you have a BX.

I'm guessing the box blade is 48".

How heavy is it? The weight will be the determining factor on a small box blade on a BX.

I have a TSC box blade that weighs about 350 lbs. It has 4 scarifiers.
I like that yours has 5 knives.

Looks really good.

It is actually a pretty bad paint job...Ace Hdw. rattle cans... no awards for coverage or dry time...

I like having the 5 rippers closer together... and my design seems to work well.

Yes... it is 48" seems to be plenty heavy... I'll calculate the weight.

The triangular blades ar made from AR plate.

it looks very nice. If you had to do it all over again, would you do it? Were you able to save money doing it yourself ? everything looks good on the box blade, but I wonder on the thickness of the sides? should it be beefier to counteract the side forces ?

As for saving money... Most of the materials were free and I like welding so that made it worthwhile...

It weighs about 250 LBS. and had no problem digging the sod off for the new garden with the rippers six inches down.

It also did an excellent job of re-grading the drive.

The sides are only 1/8 thick and I was concerned about that... hence the 1/2" brake at the bottom... It has held up well so far... but I think I would go up to 3/16 if I had to do it over.

Nice job...! Paint looks like a close match but pictures can be deceiving, is it a good match in person? If so, what's the paint brand and color? :)

Paint is close enough match for an attachment or impliment or even touch up on the loader bucket or hoe bucket... as I mentioned before... it is Ace Hardware Impliment orange in rattle cans... I wouldn't recommend this paint to any of my friends... Coverage and dry time are terrible!
