I think a landscape rake will work in your situation.

I used the BB to break up the old field (knock-down high spots, fill in the low), the LR was used to apply the finishing touches. I ended-up with flat, barren soil that had to be seeded.

Thanks all for your replies. Very helpful. I'll be buying a landscape rake first then maybe the BB. Any suggestions on the rake? York, Landpride, Frontier, etc? Or are they all about the same?

I have a 650' hard pack limestone drive and the rake is my implement of choice. It is quite steep and has a propensity to develope whoop de' doos every month or so. After a good rain I'll take the rake up there and smooth it out like new money. It's virtually impossible to get the whoops out when it's dry. If too wet you'll make a mess of things as well. After an all night rain the next afternoon is about perfect, compliant enough to move the material but not so muddy and sticky as to make a mess. If you try it a few times you'll figure it out quick enough. Make a wonderful job. Also, works great for snow removal as a fellow poster stated.

How do you use it to clear snow? Do you turn it around 180 degrees and drive backwards or do you just leave it forward facing and drive over the snow? Does anyone have any pictures of this?
