Bradco 509 Price

Just in case anybody is interested: Bradco 509, from large local dealer in NE.....$11,000. Installation extra. I was shocked to say the least.

Do you think the price of equipment will come down when steel prices come down? I doubt it.

Granted I bought this with the tractor and other implements. My Woods 9000 with subframe and 12 & 24" Gannon buckets was a little over 7K two years ago. I run mine off the tractor hydraulics. The plus side is that I have a remote to use for other things for the same price. A seperate PTO pump would have been about $650. The same price as adding a remote.

I don't remember the price for the Bradco when I was looking but it wasn't anything close to 11k.

I would think you could find a pretty good used heavy duty loader/hoe for $11K -

I just found one in NY State for $8500. That's more like it, but still a lot of money. The dealer I got the $11,000 price from must not have been interested in selling Bradco so they threw out a ridiculous price.

I just found a Woods 9000 for $6500....good price.

Steel prices will probably stabilize, but they won't drop. At least not to what they were before 2004. I think we had all better get used to the idea of paying a whole lot more for anything tractor-related. We were spoiled before & didn't know it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I got a ballpark figure the other day from my dealer for a Kubota BH90...$7000 to $7500. Depends on what size bucket you buy with it.
I have a friend who is part owner in a metal working business. He told me the other day that steel prices will come back down some in the future (his opinion), but not nearly as low as they were. He said the steel wire he had been buying had over doubled in the past year. And that was at his rates.
Who knows, maybe everything will come back down some. My bet is since they have everyone paying the outrageous prices now, they know they can keep on getting them in the future....because we all have to have gasoline, steel, medical, insurance, etc..
I should be more optimistic I guess. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
