Jerry,

I have played with it using the photo's I have and by my calculations the rods were not fully extended because the tabs were blocking the full rotation of the bucket. If my math is right the cylinders still had about 3.5 inchs of travel that was blocked. This should more than give me enough roll out to fully dump the rock with the brackets in the original position. I will switch the pins around as soon as I have the time.

This group has been more help than the dealer or the manufacturer. Thanks to all.

John,

I have played with my photo's and calcualted some ratios using them and measurements off the tractor. If I am correct the rods still had about 3.5 inches of travel that was blocked by the tabs. Moving the arms to the lowest hole in the wide end of the bracket should work and I will try it as soon as time allows. Thanks for the help.

It looks to me like using the bottom hole on the pivot would allow the rounded corners of the bracket to clear the stops.

Nelson,

I believe you are correct. I have printed my photo and drawn some arcs. It appears that at worst the tab will hit the diagonal section of the bracket and that should give me enough roll out to dump the bucket. It will be a few days before I have the time to try it. It is much easier to do on paper than in reality. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks.

Good luck, let us know how you make out. A picture of the working unit would be nice /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'd try moving the pivot point down to the lowest points on the bottom of the bracket, and also moving the bucket rods down to the lowest point at the top of the bracket...

It's difficult to really judge from the picture, but the top holes of the bracket appear to be aligned on top of one another, if the bottom hole was skewed back towards the rods ~ 1"... this would appear to solve all your problems... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well I finally had some time this afternoon and it all woked like a charm. See the attached photo and note where the stop block hits. I am even getting better at swaping these things around.

Thanks for all the help from everone.

Congratulations David. Now I'd like to hear about you using it. I love mine, though it seems to be an attachment few have. Mine's devoted to clearing rocks, though it's been used as a carryall on occassion. Glad to hear you got it working.

I had used it some before I got into "adjusting" it. I was only getting about 40 degrees roll out and that was what started the fixing. I used it for a few hours dumping the rock partially by hand. Otherwise it seemed to work well but like all these things takes some getting used to. The soil needs to be dry, dry, dry and we have seen little of that this year. I think I got the only two days that were dry enough even though I bought it back in April. The area is now in buck wheat and I will give it another workout when that is tilled under. I will need to experiment with some mesh or something so it will get rocks small than 3- 3.5 inch. Any tips are aways welcome.
