I have been looking at buying a backhoe for a little while. I am wondering what the difference is between a Woods and Bradco backhoe. I am also wondering which model Bradco would compare to the 6500 or 7500 Woods Backhoe??

Thanks,
Knowles

The last 1 or 2 numbers on Bradco is the depth in feet like 3375=7.5ft.,509=9ft.ect.
The first # is the strength of unit, the higher the # the more HD.
On Woods the first #'s are the digging depth in feet,6500=6.5ft.,7500=7.5ft.,9000=9ft.
I had a Woods 7500 and traded a landscaper for a 9000.
The 65&7500 use a chain for swing (lite duty IMO) and the 9000 is built more HD.

The 3375 would be the unit. Has a 4 point connection and subframe like the Kubota TLB's that stays with the tractor rather than the typical subframe on the Woods 7500 $5500 estimated.

I have a Woods BH that just rocks (love that thing), but from what I have heard the Bradco is a bit more "stout". I think it is also more expensive. Probably depends on how often you'll use it and whether you're doing heavy duty digging.

I have the 9000, it seems to have plenty of power even running at the lower 2300-2400 RPM range. It's running off the tractor hydraulics(8.3 gpm). The PTO version has a 9gpm pump. Lot more power than the Bobcat 325(?)track excavator they loaned me while getting the subframe installed.

My neighbor just had a Bradco 509 sitting in his driveway. He contracted some work. I did not compare them side by side but 509 looked more/less comparable. The specs were better on the 9000 vs the 509. Don't know that you could go wrong either way though.

I was thinking about the 7500 and am very happy that I went with the 9000. Much more hoe for 1k more.

ABCGroff is a dealer, Attachment Technologies, Inc. is the builder of Bradco Hoes. I believe they are in Delhi, Iowa. I think I spelled "Delhi" right?
