am getting a brake controller for my 07 f150. i am a shadetree mechanic at best, is this something easy to install? i have a harness that i believe has something to do with this in my glove box.

A lot of them are plug n play with just wiring the harness to the controller and plugging in a fuse and relay. The truck needs to have the towing package for the easy install, usually the harness in the glove box says it does. Read your manual and there is usually directions with the harness kit. CJ

Go to e trailer.com or google and look for a video of a install on your trucks year make and model.
Don't forget to install the relay in the passengers side kick panel.

Yeah, if the truck is pre-wired you just need the corresponding adapter cable for your controller & plugging in the relay that came with the truck. Hooking up the Prodigy in our f150 was strictly plug and play...
