Brake Light

Not a bad idea, Bluesteel. Thanks for the update.

/ Brake Light #12
Thanks for the tip Bluesteel. I can see where having the standard 1157 brake light bulbs on for a long time could heat up and crack the lens.
I replaced mine today with LED's. Not an easy task to do.

For others that may want to go with LED's I found you do not have to remove the bracket completely but just loosen it to access the bulbs.

The first one I took out all of the bracket bolts and screws to access the sockets. On the second one I removed the three self tapping screws at the lens fixtures and just loosened the remaining 10mm bracket bolts enough to let the bracket come down enough to remove the bulbs.

Very welcome George. Yes, it's quit a configuration on the design. I removed the entire fender end stub. Lot of bolts and screws just to hold everything together. Good thing is I think these LEDs will last forever. I sure don't want to go through all the replacement again. Very good call on just loosening things up. Should help others out if they change them.
