I'm in the process of fitting the trailer I haul my YM2000 on with electric brakes. Problem is that there were no wiring instructions with the backing plates. There are two wires coming from the magnet, both green. I'm not sure if one should be a ground or what. Any help would be appreciated.

Log onto the dexter axle site and download the data you need.

I seem to recall the same problem.

I hookedthe backing plate wires to the white and black trailer brake wires. Worked okay.

I've installed the same bits on one of my trailers. Ground either one. It doesn't matter which it is. It does matter that you make good connections. I don't trust crimp on connectors, so I soldered all of mine to be sure. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
