Just bought this a few days ago from Lowe's. Unboxed it today, read the manual and all instructions, assembled it, mixed some fresh 91 octane (ethanol-free) and 2-cycle oil, and fired it up.

Fires up great, idles fine. I've never had a blower before, but it seems to have adequate power at about 1/4 throttle. Any more than that and it bogs down and will even stall completely. This is after blowing for several minutes, so the engine should be warmed up. This behavior persists with the choke in any position. Is it possible I'm doing something wrong? Is this worth messing with, or should I just return it to Lowe's?

Ah yes.....the big box blues.

I'd return it, and buy a backpack blower. My blowers all behave in a similar manner, but they straight up after about 30 seconds.

Probably needs carb work or a pressure vacuum test to find a air leak. Just take it back.

Right on. I think I'll return it. Should run right out of the box at least.

Shall return it. No messing with it
