Me too...also, the price.
My Z920 Deere beats the **** out of me if I try going at full bore.

Haven't they been using Tweels on skid steers around scrap yards for a few years? Much different application than lawns but they seem pretty durable in the long run.

No idea...seems like a great idea though.

So far do good with the tweels. They sure smooth out the ride quite a bit over the standard rubber tire. Very noticeable improvement....traction is much better as well due to the bigger contact patch....very impressed with the tweels...not an inexpensive option but worth every single cent IMHO.

If you don't mind me asking....what was the price?

Curious what kind of tire pressure you ran.
I never run more than 7-8 PSI in my zero turn tires for a better ride. Any more than that makes the ride unnecessarily rough IMO.

I priced out a z930e with kawi, mod 7 iron deck and tweels. Was about 10,350 with insurance and 0%. I think the tweels are a $800 msrp option and I would've been happy to pay it.

Ending up going to just green and go orange for a zd1211 but it's $14k but boy are they bad. 997 at $20k is just ludicrous to me but I don't mow much

About the same as you ...7 or 8 lbs in each tire...

The Tweels were originally designed for skid steers, they come with a 3 year warranty from Michelin. JD has the exclusive for them for about 2 more years is what I've been told. They are also introducing them for the front as well.
That, with the suspension seat should provide the ultimate ride with no worries about flat's. The commercial guys I've talked to love them. I'm guessing once they become available to all, the price should drop, it will be interesting to see who/what they will be available for.

I have been running tweels on my CAT skidsteer for the last three years. Hard daily use cleaning the barn of manure. Over 3000 hours and they still look new in respect to the thread, no failures or failts of any kind as of yet. They have held up much better than air tires or solids...again the smooth ride sell these tweels and the longevity of the thread. I will not run anything else besides tweels on my skidsteers.
