Brand of cleaning solvent to use

My manual says to use a cleaning solvent to get rid of grease and dirt build up on the knotter gears etc of my baler.
No brand is mentioned. Any ideas on what to use? I bought a can of spray degreased for auto engines. Can I use that?

I don't think it would matter what you used. I'd try brake cleaner or whatever was inexpensive. A light coating of oil, lube, etc. afterwards.
