I know it's not a TYM but same engine 1.2 l A1100N2 Kukje. 2021 2400H
Known as a good motor but this is what mine is doing at 395hrs.
Saw one video of a guy that said injector timing was off and heater was never working? Had to do a "Top End" service.
This white smoke at start up is concerning. Of course I will change the fuel filter first but what are thoughts on this? Should I bring it in it's still under warranty?
Also, is a slight surging while running normal, ever so slight but can notice it, otherwise runs good.

My 2400H is a 2012 model and I had to replace the glow plugs at approximately 800 - 850 hrs do to circuit malfunction that kept power constant power to the plugs. Had an injector go bad shortly after that. Otherwise has been trouble free engine.

Is white smoke just at startup?

Since under warranty may want to talk to dealer before tearing anything apart.

Yes, only start up then clears up.

When you had it wide open what RPM was it getting to?

I believe 2500 - 2600 RPM on the tachometer.

I changed fuel filter and added this.
Runs good less white smoke if any.
QUESTION? Who uses off road diesel?
I use it but should I use the more expensive less sulfur?
Also, silly question, set throttle @2000 for chores and such but when I press the forward pedal all the way down it goes to 2500? To me this acts like a shuttle but is Hydro.
I have a Kubota GF1800 hydro and doesn't seem to rev up but I never owned a true tractor before, Is this normal with the governor, linkage, etc? I know I'm a tractor novice.
Also, is 2000 ok for loader work or should I try the Gear up throttle down(GUTD) I've heard about?

There was a transition period where off road diesel MAY have had higher sulfur content, but that has long since past. Off road and road taxed diesel will both be identical other than the added dye.
-Your machine may have the hydro pedal tied to the throttle, which will result in what you describe. You should be able to turn that feature off, but I keep mine engaged.
-2000 rpm is a good engine speed for loader work. What you want to avoid is lugging the engine down.

That startup smoke doesn't appear that unusual to me, but being a 2021 with some type of emissions on it, I'm not certain. My DPF tractor wouldn't smoke at all with the exhaust filter, but my previous pre Tier4 emissions tractor would look just like your video at startup.
All that said, if it's a recent change and under warranty I would have the dealer look at it.

Having the pedal tied to the throttle is called "link(ed) pedal" and if it bothers you there should be a way to turn it off. Have you picked up an owners manual yet?

My 2400H does not have any connection between the HST control and throttle.

I typically run 1700 - 2100 RPM depending on what type of loader work I am doing. Tight quarters work like cleaning neighbors barn run lower RPM. Outside moving dirt run higher RPM.

Mine is 2021 right before TYM took over but same engine as T246 or T25 I think, has no regen/def so that little smoke I heard is normal, so thanks so much.
About engine RPM, so the linked throttle acts like a governor of sorts and normal? Any advantage/dis of either linked or not or just preference?
I would think that going to 2500 under load would be what's needed and help eliminate a stall and give what's needed. I like it just wanted to know if normal, sounds like it is.
I doubt one could over rev these unless at 3000 for long periods.
I have a owner manual but doesn't really show it, did down load service manual I'll take a look.
I understand that running higher RPM,2-2200, is better to eliminate soot/carbon build up?
90% is low gear, rarely use Hi for any loader work.
Thanks for all the ideas, this tractor is new to me and still has warranty so just trying to learn all I can.

If you have a concern, why not call your dealer to discuss the situation while it's under warranty to at least put your mind at ease?

The local TYM/Branson dealer was a Branson dealer before the merger. He preferred the Branson models.

The guy who delivered my Kubota L2501 is also one of the dealership mechanics. He advised me to keep the RPM up so that the pump for the HST was delivering good flow to the system. What I've found is the tractor seems to operate best somewhere in that 2,000-2,200 rpm range you mentioned.
