Does the 3110i also have a relay for the starter. Some tractors do and some don't. If this relay isn't working you would not get power to the starter solenoid either.

Yes the older designs sure made trouble shooting easier.

Thanks for the input guys. The shuttle safety switch does appear to be good. Can't 'rock' the tractor as some suggested to make sure that the transmission elements are in agreement that it's in neutral. Since all identifiable safety switches appear to be good, that leaves, I think, the relay and the starter assembly for me to finish checking out. Thanks for that link, Xfaxman. I did actually find that forum, I had overlooked it by only noticing the "Century" label. Will update if I come up with anything. I hope that I can get this resolved and benefit others in the forums with the info.

The safety switches can check good, but the wiring to and from the switch can be bad. That is why I asked how you were checking them.

If you can get a wiring diagram, the problem would be easy to track down.

Using a multi-meter to check continuity of switches in their various positions. You're right, of course, there could be a wiring issue. I'm searching high and low trying to locate some sort of wiring diagram for the tractor. No luck so far. Would make it easier if i could just follow the wiring and switches in order and check for voltage at each stage.
To answer a previous question, there appears to be a starter relay mounted on the firewall. My wife found it by pulling hard on the bottom of it where the wires go in (I had NO idea that she was doing this.). Well, it popped out of it's housing. Nice bright shiny copper assembly that makes really big sparks when you let it touch the chassis. VERY carefully inserted it back into its housing, and told her to NEVER do anything like that again. Fortunately, it didn't seem enough to damage anything.

Now to find some sort of wiring diagram for the tractor.

I searched and found this post. I have the same problem. Mine is a 3510i. Bought it new almost 11 yrs ago. It's been my self employment ever since. received_2162677113759102[1].jpeg this is the third time it's stopped on me. Very frustrating the first time.. So now I know to open the hood and remove the left engine cover and wiggle this plug. Well now it's not even making connection. I have replaced the factory fuel pump with an electric one.. so if the culprit wire makes a connection, I hear it. Well.. Without have the wiring schematic.. I'm guessing this large white wire is the problem. I don't know how to remove the metal plug\spade from the main plug so I can solder it and hope it fixes the intermittent issue.

I will copy this and create a duplicate one in the Century\Branson forum.
