Hi people,
In the manual for the 6225h it mentions a draft restriction bracket and yet my tractor has no lock\restrictor. I called the dealer and he said they have never seen one on the Australian models...do you American cousins have draft restriction brackets on your local models? Is it an issue not to have one?

Also, I find that on slopes the tractor will creep forward downhill even though my foot is off the forward pedal...dealer said he has noticed that too...any US experience to shed light?

Cheers from the bushfires in Oz.

Do you mean the Draft control? The manual is not very clear on that. I had to play with mine and figure it out.

There should be a locking tab on top of the top link bracket. But behind the bracket, there is some shims that you need to move around in order to allow the draft control to work. This is where the manual lacks lots of info.

We don't get draft control in the US. Or 6225s for that matter- our 25 series is only 3725 and 4225.

My 3725 will creep forwards on steep slopes (over 20% or so) but not on regular slopes. It seems normal, my prior Kubota was worse about that.

Yes, the draft control. The manual (pg 5-13) shows a 'restriction bracket' which I assume is a stop of some form but it is missing from the tractor?

Cheers,

Thanks for that....wasn't sure if I needed to adjust the pedal or not and needed to confirm dealer statement. I saw on a youtube that draft control isn't common in the USA...I wonder why...seems like it would be handy in rocky ground.

Took a couple of pictures of my tractor draft control. I think the 25 series is similar.

So the only thing I've found about how to properly get the draft control working, was on the 25 series service manual.

Overview of the whole top link mount:

This the locking tab that you flip either out or in, in order to allow the draft control to work:

This is the tricky part that has little to no info at at all. Behind the top link bracket (the one with the 3 holes), there is a two shims and a longer piece of flat bar. The tractor comes from factory with those 3 pieces in this order: Shim - longer piece - shim. At first, I thought it worked as a spring, turns out that it's an additional lock of the draft control.

So on the little info I found on the 25 series service manual, they say to remove all 3 pieces (shims and longer piece). After I played with the a little bit, I have those three pieces in the following order: longer piece - shim - shim. This allows for the draft control to work. By the way, those two little bolts holding these small pieces are REALLY tight. It's a 12 mm wrench but a socket with and extension works better. This is the picture:

Another thing to consider. On the top link bracket, there is 3 holes. The top hole won't allow the draft control to work also, because the top link end will hit a big M20 bolt inside. It's supposed to be that way. The middle and bottom holes allow for two different sensitivities on the draft control. Middle hole = more sensitive. Bottom hole = less sensitive.
