Checking with a single connection on a dead headed line is checking for max pressure,
it is pushing all flow thru the relief valve.
A better measure of available pressure is a pair of quick connects with a flow control in line
and a pressure gauge to monitor the pressure at various flow rates.
Such as this unit, flow controller, flow meter and pressure gauge.
