Branson and/or Mahindra

Well I may as well throw Bobcat tractors in the mix. they are just a relabeled kioti, but with the dealer support of a Bobcat.

I have a ct230, 30hp w/FEL . I use mine in the dirt, woods, and snow and does every thing a 3000 lb tractor should do. they're resonably priced too.

There's quite a few TBNers that have Kioti and Bobcat tractors. Just out the brand forums

I find that very interesting. I had never heard of Kioti until I started reading this forum a couple years ago. I am sure they are great tractors but I never seen one of their tractors or a dealership in my neck of the woods. Goes to show how regional tractors are.

Yeah I'm not sure about that either. Nobody that I know outside this forum has ever even heard of Kioti.... especially 10 years ago. Mahindra in my opinion is a lot more well known brand. Kioti has a great following on TBN so apparently they are making some nice machines.

I own a Mahindra 4110, bought it new in 2005 it is still going strong with no complaints and does all that I ask of it. Dealer support was top on my list in my buying decision.

Can't say enough about the dealer support comments that have been posted. I own a Branson 3510h (35 hp tractor). It has been a tough, dependable tractor that has handled every chore I have thrown at it to date (170 hrs). I would buy another one at the drop of a hat. The problem is that there are not alot of dealers around. If your dealer closes up shop and you have a problem, you may be saddled with a long trip for warranty work. If you are adept at repairing things yourself, then that is a different story. As far as the starting problem with the 2910 model, that was posted earlier, I believe that there is a thread in the Branson forum that addresses the cause for this. Seems that it was an engine design issue and the solution was to upgrade to the 3510 model if you live in a colder climate. Good luck in your search.
Here is a link to the 2910 starting problem thread.

They are big around here. I have noticed that the size of personal tractor also varies greatly with region. Being a pilot I travel all over and guys in the North East like the little 20ish sized tractors. Mid West guys like me have the 28ish sized. Hit Texas and they are 45ish.

I have also noticed that with trucks. In my area and the South it seems Ford rules. Go to the North East and you see a lot of GM products. Southern Cali area you see lots of Nissan and Toyotas. Things seem very regional.

Same here, the only Kioti I ever saw was a used one on a Zetor dealership yard some 8- 10 years ago...that dealership has since shut down ...no big surprise there.

Never heard of Branson, Montana or Mahindra except on this here board, pretty much all we see up here under 60 HP are Kubotas...its an entirely different story in the over 60 HP range though, mostly JD but quite a few Case and some NH.

Not sure what part of Oregon you are in, but If you are in the Portland area (McMinville) you might want to look into a TYM. I liked the tractors a lot, but the dealer up there is killer. If it wasn't for my slopes this would be the machine for me (not to knock the others, they are all pretty good and it is really about the dealership and your pocketbook and resale interest).

In this area two Mahindra dealerships opened several years ago and the brand caught on. I think one reason being that the deere dealerships seem to cater to farmers and don't seem interested in selling smaller tractors while the 40 hp and under seem to be the bread and butter of the Mahindra dealers.

I'm in Newberg about a mile from VVT&E. I've been in and talked to them once guess I ought to head back in. Thanks for the input!

Hey what about this? It's at VVT&E:

Kioti LB1914 4x4 Tractor with KL102 Loader.
19hp, Three Cylinder Diesel Engine.
8 Speed Shuttle Shift Transmission.
Skid Steer Quick Attach Front Bucket.
Only 570 hours Special $6,000 Cash

I'm going to go by there Monday or Tuesday and check it out. Pics look pretty decent.

I had a branson 3510, it was a great tractor! Very heavy for it's hp. I worked it hard and it treated me well. no complaints. I think I heard that branson bought mahindra. so you could get service and parts at the same place. I agree with previous statements though, find a dealer near by that's good.
