Branson/Century/Kukje

The tractors go down the same assembly line, it would not make sense, or be cost effective, to build two grades of tractors. In fact it would add addtional costs.

The tractors are only assembled on the line,so why could they not build many different platforms? Other manufacturers do it already. It is not all that hard to make sure certain parts go on certain tractors. If it was companies like Valtra would not offer you so many options......

Woodbeef, Yesterday 2-14-04 at National Farm Machinery Show in Louisvile, Ky. saw Zetor unit with small badge on it that said "by Century". Further inspection turned up a Kukje manufacturers label on it. Wouldn't have thought much about it if I hadn't seen your post. This was at the American Jawa exhibit which is as we know is the importer for Century and Zetor. Maybe Century will become a series of Zetor rather than a full fledged brand. Just a guess, I didn't ask about it and like I said I didn't think much of it till I saw this thread and your post. DMB
PS, How's the weather this time of the year in Ontario?

Been a tad bit chillier than normal lately. But I guess it is just getting us ready for when winter finally hits!!

Isn't it strange that cowlitz hasn't posted back?
I guess she's trying to drum up some more business after taking a break from her self referrals with the alias Timruger1. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Just a thought from a new Century owner

Hi,
I started to reply to this seperate, BUT I think I'll just point to this post "Branson/Century is KUKJE..well.plus JD and Cummins" It is a post I made a few days ago. It looks like I should have added Zetor to it, who knew? I don't have much seat time on my Kukje/Branson but I like it. How many hours do you have on yours? I'm very new to tractors, but I have always looked for value when I bought stuff and Kukje is value. Give or take the name, (I think) Kukje will be here for a LONG time. I'd rather see this forum discuss the good and bad of Kukje, than have it debate the name ON a Kukje. I would like help finding a good place to put a chain box (i'm thinking I should bolt one to the FEL bracket), a tool box (i have seen them behind the seat but with a backhoe I'm not sure that is the place) etc. This forum needs to be, (well, I think) should be a POSITIVE place for these tractors. Anyone here not happy with their tractor? Maybe the place to start is what is not liked about a Kukje, I think if Kukje knew what we didn't like they will try to correct it. AND, hey, my tractor ain't perfect ,i had to clean a lot of rust out of the FEL controller, it started to stick and it turned out to be rust at the base of the control stick. Anyone else have this glitch? Later!
Cheers,
Brad

Brad,

Some of the valves hold rainwater under the rubber boot as you have found. We pull the boot and drill a little drain hole as part of our pre-delivery. The newest valves do not have the problem as they have fixed it.

Good comments, enjoy your kukbrancentuzetor, er, well.....whatever you call it! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Brad, I am with you....and looking at the same improvements , add-ons, ect. for my Branson. Dave, of Daves Tractor is my favorite dealer on this forum. He gives you a straight answer on the Branson and usually a lot of good background info. As you have learned, there are some issues with the joystick...mostly growing pains I believe. Dave has spelled them out for us. When you figure out the toolbox and chain box mounting location, let us know.

Brad,

You mentioned you were looking for a place to mount a chain box. Here's a link to a thread that discussed that very thing, with a really great solution. Chain Storage Buckets

Man ! I'm glad your not a local dealer ! You have managed to post the most venomous thing I've seen on TBN .I will however congratulate you on getting By with it .
I'm looking forward to reading your future posts so that I can become more informed on tractors in general .
I especially liked your "People are for the most part cheap" statement . I bet You really respect your customers wishes ,and needs ! John
