We've been down this road before. Educate yourself!
Perhaps, you should stop being a "fanboy" and instead, actually READ what I post, INSTEAD of reading into them what ever you want...

MANY companies license their name and products worldwide. If the product doesn't live up to the companies reputation, they usually would pull the license. Bad products would ruin their rep. Most likely, your local McDonald's or any other chain restaurant is "licensed" to use the company name through a franchise. The same happens with companies that build products.

Kukje (Branson) has been building tractors since 1968. They used Yanmar technology since 1980, and began agreement with John Deere in 1987, building many John Deere tractors. The Cummins agreement began in 2002. Branson was est. in 2003. In 2016, Kukje was purchased by TYM (Tong Yang Moolsan), another tractor builder that has been building since 1951.

Hello kevanos
I own a Branson 4220 and I am in the process of rebuilding due to low compression.
I am not having much luck sourcing parts that I can afford. I was able to find an aftermarket source that is for a Cummins A2000.
Reading many thread you sound like you’re very informed on this subject.

Would you happen to know if A2000 parts can fit in my Branson block?
SN# on the Branson is CM1L00247

I have seen a pdf from Cummins staying that Kukje will begin manufacturing Cummins motors and changing from sleeve to machines block. My Branson however has sleeves which has me somewhat confused as to what I am dealing with.
In another thread a member mentioned I may have been in the transition period between sleeves and no sleeves.

Just wondering if you would have any insight on this.

Thanks in advance

How many "Cummins" diesels does brasnson make for over the road trucks? How many dozers get those diesels? How about FARM tractors?

They are a light duty diesel for light duty tractors that Cummins lets them use it's name. lol I mean, that's what it REALLY boils down to...

Like I said above, that doesn't mean they aren't a good small diesel for light duty use...

Mine was an 800 cu. in. 400 hp Big Cam 6, 300 rpm power band, 15 speed, in a '79 International cabover combination "rock bucket". Truck had over 1 million miles with one inframe!

I have dealt with Cummins for 40 years. No big problem there. My last Cummins, a big honking ISX with 565 horsepower, had 600,000 trouble-free miles on it when I sold it.

But a funny story. Back in the early 90's, I was assigned a brand new truck with a Caterpillar engine. That was the only truck that ever quit and left me stranded by the side of the road. It was, no big surprise, a new piece of electronics on it.

When they gave me the next truck, it had a Detroit Diesel Series 60 12.7 liter engine. Funny thing about that engine. The story is that it was designed in the Caterpillar design studios, but Caterpillar refused to build it because it just wasn't "Cat" enough. The designer shopped it around, and John Deere's engine plant agreed to build it. Brilliant design for the time. Then Detroit Diesel bought into it, because their time-weary 2-strokes were the EPA's newest whipping boys. Was it a "Detroit Diesel" engine? Well, that's the name it had on it. I had one of those in a truck I owned, too. I sold it at 750,000 miles. I still occasionally see that truck making a regular round trip to the Rio Grande Valley. The last time I talked to the driver, he had over 2,000,000 miles on it, with one overhaul.

And the question about how many over-the-road trucks are powered by Branson engines... I guess the question is how many over-the-road engines Caterpillar builds these days. (I'll save you the Google. The answer is zero.)

Today, most Freightliners have an engine that is branded Detroit Diesel. Guess who really makes it? It's a Mercedes at its roots. Funny how these things work out.

You can give me Cummins in anything and I‘d trust it. Sure they’ve had a few problems over the years, but I think they have stayed true to Clessie Cummins vision of building quality. They are a global giant and leader in on/off road diesel manufacturing at almost all levels and there’s a great reason for it.
