Hopefully this is my last question. Have anybody ordered there machine with the brason third function installed? I have already had 2 wr-long kits before so I'm not sure I'll be happy going to a Diverter valve kit since I've been using the wrong kit for so long. I just like the fact I can order the tractor from brason with the kit already installed from the factory which is nice. I'm wondering is it hard to get use to?

My dealer sent me a picture of it. It mounts on the loader torque tube and adds four hoses- two that go up to the diverter valve and two that come back and connect to the hard lines near the loader pivot. It seems like they could have connected to the hard lines near the torque tube where they tee, or put the diverter close to the loader pivot. The wad of hoses looked cumbersome. But doing it that way means no added quick connects as it all stays on the loader.

OTOH the handle mimics the stock shape only in harder plastic and with a switch of course. I have not been able to find a good aftermarket handle with switch that matches the stock shape which I like. I asked and the handle's not available separately.

But for me the main consideration is do you want the grapple open/close operation to involve moving the handle sideways for dump/curl? (I also wonder how it'll work with regen which our valves have. Supposedly using a regen dump/curl to run a grapple is not good though if the factory engineers did it maybe it's not so bad).

One supposed advantage of a true 3rd function is the ability to use it while moving the loader. But our loader valve sends everything to the tank when it's operated so the 3rd function valve won't be getting any flow. I'm still planning on building a 3rd function setup to replace my fender mounted SCV but I'd be doing it because I think the action is more ergonomic. And I still might change my mind and use a diverter.

Just talked to Daves and they gave me a part number for a true 3rd function 2 switches kit # CP-1000. When I look that up brings me to ansung CP-1000. So I called Ansung and the lady told me the part number for the 20 Series is a CP-1B-20. So which on is it?

I do not know how good they functionally work, but I'm not a fan of the valve location..

If you're used to the WR Long true 3rd function kit, I think you'll be happiest to stick with it. Oh, $50 off when you order it with a Wicked Grapple!!

Not sure why the dealer would install the diverter valve like that...

They don't usually come setup that way, that's for sure.

I agree with ptsg, mine certainly is not like that. My dealer added third function in his shop. Rear remotes done at assembly plant. Not even sure if they offer third function installed by Branson. It also is true third function not a diverter.

that's a very odd placement for the valve, when we install the CP-1000 Kits here they are mounted to the loader bracket by the joystick control and the hoses in/out are mounted to the loader torque tube so they can easily be connected and disconnected, not sure what dealer decided to do it like that in the picture but we wouldn't ever install one like that. that just seems to be more of a hassle the way it is set up in those pictures.

Here is how the factory New Holland kit mounts. All hoses are hard piped.

Hey Asteral, Is the Cp-1000 the kit you would need for the branson 5220CH, to have a true 2 button 3rd fucntion? Dave's tractor gave me that part number, but I also called Ansung and they said the brason kit was CP-1B-20?

Both numbers technically work but the number she gave you indicates the difference in the mounting brackets in the kit cp-1b-20 is for the twenty series and up models and cp-1b-15 is for the 15 series
