There are 2 hydraulic hoses going from back (they are side by side) they lead to a pump , it is shown in video. I would like to know their function. I have service manual for chassis and service manual for engine, neither show these hoses. On top above theses 2 hoses by the 3 point left arms there is another hydraulic hose going to FEL ,it is connected to FEL beside 4 hyd. hoses going to bucket and leads to return under seat of tractor (low side), from hyd. pump a hyd. hose leads to left side of FEL (High side). I have NO HYD. working on the 2910i Branson. Can some one tell me what the hoses in back leading to pump are used to operate what? Thank You

There's seven hoses connected to the FEL valve. Four are for the loader. One is the feed from the pump on the engine. One goes to the tank (transmission). On my 3725 that's under the seat somewhere. The last is the power beyond. It goes to the back of the transmission case to operate the 3pt hitch. Tank is low pressure, PB is high pressure.

If you want to ask about specific lines on your tractor, post pictures of them.

For your no hydraulic problem, check that there's not a valve that's stuck open (you'll hear a relief valve squealing if there is). Check the fluid level. And then check or replace the filter and intake screen.

Thank you , Yes it has 7 hoses , 4 for loader, one on left side to power beyond(hyd. pump) 2 on right side, one almost beside the 4 for the loader is going to back of tractor located above the two separate hoses that are going to a pump under right side of tractor (other side of hyd. power beyond and power steering pump),and one is on side going to port under seat from power beyond low side. hyd hose coming out back 2910i branson tractor.JPGIMG_0396.JPGTried post pictures. maybe will work this time. Thank You.

Those two hoses right above the PTO are going to what looks like a hyd. pump, can you tell me why or what they power? Thanks

Those two hoses on the back are used on the PTO clutch. One is high pressure, the other is return. It should however have 2 hard lines going to the PTO hydraulic block and not two hoses connecting to who knows what.

What's the back story on this? Everything was working before? What changed till it stopped working?

On my 3725 the two hoses just above the PTO shaft are hard lines like @ptsg noted. They come from the PTO valve on the right side of the transmission housing in front of the rear axle. The PTO valve is fed from the power steering circuit which is separate from the regular hydraulic circuit that runs the loader and 3pt. The line from the loader valve's PB port runs back to the rear and into a block just above the PTO clutch block in your picture.

Of course none of this helps to figure out why yours stopped working. Did everything stop working? Loader and 3pt? power steering too?

My brother came over, we changed hyd. oil and filter, it was bad , oil in filter milky, and no oil in tractor hydraulics. Brother cracked open high pressure side of pump, nothing came out, we increased rpms, still nothing, hyd. pump was pretty warm, and he opened several high pressure lines, nothing worked. brother seems to think it will need new pump. I replaced the 2 PTO lines half way with hyd. hose, because i sheared outter PTO shaft inside tractor, i was using nortrac roto tiller and it didn't have shear bolts, I tried to get hard lines built but hydraulic shop said they couldn't make them that small in diameter, so they made hyd.hose for me and i used adapters to connect to hard lines . I took roto tiller gearbox to machine had them smooth splines and drill hole so now it uses shear bolts. I bought this little tractor that had sat for about 3years in a field. Brother is diesel mechanic ,he put fuel pump, battery, bled fuel lines and it started. more in next post, Thank you

The tractor was pushed to the limit by former owner, I had to replace head last year. I had been expecting something to happen with hydraulics, they have always drawn air and water in system, the 3 point wouldn't lift when it got hot , system would shudder. well time to bite the bullet and see if I can;t get system right. Mean while we had a storm about a month ago, and it flipped my well house not once but twice, doing so broke well pump head off , damaged pump controller beyond repair, broke and stretched electrical wiring beyond using. I was going to use bucket on tractor to pull pump, that's when bucket and 3 point quit, so I am building me a hoist to pull pump. I will take tractor to Brother's shop, he said he will work on tractor. And meanwhile age and health are interfering with getting these things done...but I will get there. Thanks for your help.

Ok, reading your description before, I thought those lines were going to the loader which would be a big problem. Since you just replace it with hoses and are still connected between the PTO block and the back of the tractor, it's all good.

I would suggest you to get original Branson hydraulic filters for your tractor, if you didn't already. The reason for this, is that some aftermarket filter will have like a check valve inside, and Branson uses the filters on the suction side of the pumps, so the check valve won't allow the pump to pull fluid through the filter. I've seen lots of people complaining about burned pumps because they used aftermarket filters.

I've found the parts manual for the 3720i and 4720i. Should be similar to the 2910i. It seems that the tractor uses 3 pumps. Two tandem 7.5cc pumps, one for the PTO block and other for the power steering. And a third 13cc one that will be used by the loader, remotes and 3 pt.

Also since you said the hydraulic oil was really bad and full of water, the best thing to do is pulling the suction screen and clean it really good.

This is first after market hyd. filter i've used, just was quicker using napa than ordering,I always thought better to use Branson filters, now can you tell me where the suction screen is located? Maybe I need to try that first before I pull pump? And what is part number for the pump? I only run tractor in summer about once a month in garden and shredding, now I can't do either, I am ready to have it running. This year I have several projects that require loader. My Beaver will start but when I put load on engine it quits, and it doesn't have loader, but I could at least shred and plant garden. I think I will take it to brother's this week. Thank You for letting me ramble.
