Did you bother to look at the label and see if it was 'approved' for your tractor brand? I don't ever take anyone's word for that stuff and it was cheap, it's probably junk. s a word of caution, any 303 based hydraulic fluid is ok for a gear drive tractor but of you have an HST unit, cheap 303 seres fluid is death by a thousand cuts or a thousand leaks as the seals fail.

Also, aftermarket hydraulic filters are known to create problems like burning pumps on Branson tractors.

Someone else with a 2910i. Thought I had the only 1. Try the filter 1st. We are gear driven not hydrostatic by the way. The squealingg could be the relief valve stuck open also. Just a couple things to check.

I have been on phone with Sid from Sid's Trading Co. LLC in Luka Mississippi, Sid's is a great place to order parts and help with questions. I ordered filters, and lower pressure hose for strainer. I was reviewing in my mind cleaning hyd.strainer and remembered how the hose was extremely soft, so I wondered if it could be collapsing or sucking air. I just ordered parts from Sid's. When able will replace and let you know out come. Thanks

I thought I was the only one too! I bought tractor very used and had sat in field from 2010 until 2014, not running.

Sally
The pulsing or jerking while raising the 3point & loader does point towards the pump being starved for oil. If sat for four years unused you may have flushed some crud out of the system possibly clogging the suction strainer & or filters. A soft suction hose could also be collapsing like you stated. Just replaced the one on my 5 year old tractor due to showing signs of cracking. Easier to replace now than middle of winter....

I do not know where the relief valve is on your tractor. For reference the relief should be the first valve or block that the pump pressure line connects to. On some tractors the is the loader valve on others it is a block on the transmission.

Hi everyone, update on Branson hydraulics. I changed oil, cleaned hyd. strainer (it really was not too bad),replaced hyd.filter with Branson OEM hyd.filter. replaced o-rings on hyd.strainer metal housing, replaced hose and clamps that attach hose to strainer housing.Retraced all hyd. hoses. It was a SUCCESS!! Loader works great, 3 point is great. It has taken me from March until now September to address all the hyd.issues. Thanks for everyone's help, ya'll were right it was sucking air. Also where should oil level be in sight glass when hot, I think I read somewhere it should be half way between the 2 red lines.THANK YA'LL !! sallyb

I forgot to add I did have connections crossed on loader for functions, don稚 know why I did.I know raise and lower are on left side of control valve. I am going to put my deserter valve back on , I like my thumb on loader. So, Everyone was right again. Thank Everyone! Sallyb
