Tractor
John deere 4210
I had a barn fire which severely damaged my Branson 37hp tractor. Trying to get an idea of what to sell it for. Engine and front end are perfectly fine. Any suggestions would help.

Wow. Sorry for your troubles. Hopefully some folks can give you some estimates.

Sorry for the loss.
Can your local dealer give you rough idea?

Man, sorry to hear that happened. I suspect with it not running there is no guarantee that the engine is not damaged. I hate to say but it probably is worth about what scrap metal prices would bring. You may get more if you sell just the parts off of it.

What does the insurance company say? Appears to be operators area, fenders, full instrument area, full wiring harness, loader hoses, possibly fuel tank. And I'm sure there are items that I'm missing.

It does look repairable. But that is up to you and the insurance company.

I would say it is worth a higher percentage of its initial price than a similarly sized and outfitted Green or Orange tractor.

I hope you had insurance.

My wild a** guess 35%-40% of new price

After reading Eddie's post 25% - 33%

The loader is probably worth a few grand if it's all there and somebody needs a loader for the same sized tractor. Odds are that's all anybody is going to want from it, and that leaves you with a very small market to sell to. I have no idea what a scrap yard will pay, but when scrapping a few older cars that where not worth fixing, they wouldn't pay anything for them, they just picked them up and hauled them off.

Personally I would consign it at an auction and be happy for anything above scrap price.

IF you have the time, part it out on Ebay, you will get the most money there.
I did a few many years ago and it went quite well..
