Good morning,

As Tong Yang Moolsan (TYM) bought Kukje Machinery (Branson) three years ago we may suppose the new TYM 2019 series could have the DNA of their two parents.
For those who have seen these tractors online (T474 T494 and T574) it appears they strongly look like Bransons. On the streering wheel they are badged "TYM group".

My question is : does any of the members know what kind of engine they have ? Yanmar or Kukje ?

Thanks for your help.

Phil

I'm pretty sure it's a Yanmar engine.

So far the only thing that came up since the acquisition, was a little 19 hp tractor Tym tractor that Branson rebranded to sell under their name.

Branson is coming up with some new stuff, including a UTV and again, there is nothing that can be related to Tym. They even have been updating the US site that wasn't updated in years. Branson seems stronger in Europe than in the US at the moment.

So the mystery of this acquisition is still in the air.

Take a closer look. They are TYM chassis not Branson. From the current models it look like a change in the hood and loader. As far as engine they have used Yanmar but being they own Branson it is possible they may switch. They should have them on display at Louisville in a couple months so then we will know for sure.

Hi,

Have a look on these two pictures please.
Do you think it is a 2019 Branson or a 2019 TYM ?
I know the answer but I will tell you after.

These two pictures are from a prototype for the Cabbed version of the Branson F series (15 series in the US).

I shared these pictures together with a couple more in the Branson forum. However, the dash look indeed like a Tym tractor.

Taking a closer look at the pictures of the TYM tractors in the first post, looks like a Kukje engine judging by the tandem hydraulic pump setup and the exhaust. And also the front axle, although it's hard to see.

If this is the case and TYM is actually using Branson construction and engineering, this might be good news for both brands. Branson was a stronger tractor than TYM, thus making TYM users with a better product. (Not saying that was bad before!)

Hi ptsg,

I did'nt missed you had already posted these pics.

You are 100 % right. It is a 2019 Branson F47.
But now, please compare this rear view with the one of a 2018 TYM T394 (or 393 for Europe).
You will notice it is exactly identical !
One more thing: now the branson cab plastics are grey and no longer black. Exactly like in TYM tractors.

IMHO, I don't think the new Branson engines will be Yanmar. Kukje, fot sure !

I agree with you. It's a Branson tractor with a couple TYM accents, like the hood and dash for example.

Do you have anymore pictures of these new TYM units?

Maybe they use the mechanics and chassis of Branson and TYM builds the hood, fenders and interior. Hopefully TYM doesn't make the wiring of the tractors because I've seen countless threads about TYM owners having electrical problems.

Hi,

I have more pictures.
Here are some more pictures of the TYM T494 2019 US model
If you look carefully you will see it has an integrated true hydraulic 3rd function from factory on the loader. Not a solenoid valve.

I hope our EEC Branson will have the same feature !

And to confirm the presence of an integrated true third function valve here are some screen pics from toutube showing the valve on the new TYM T 474 2019 US model (interesting to notice the fitings are made in Italy ! maybe the valve as well ...):

And have a look on the following pictures.
The first two on the left are Branson F47 2019 EEC model and the two on the right TYM T393 2018 EEC model.
What is your conclusion ?

If you look carefully at the first picture which represents a Branson you will notice that the tag "Branson" on the steering wheel has been added with Photoshop (or equivalent) on another picture. Easy to figure out this original picture had another tag in the middle of the steering wheel. Maybe "TYM group" or more simply "TYM"

My conclusion is : You can but Branson or TYM it will be the same tractor BUT....the engine maybe different !
